| KAZU Movie Club |
The September MovieClub screening is Restrepo, a documentary about a group of soldiers as they complete their tour of duty in Korengal, Afghanistan.
NPR's David Edelstein says, “Restrepo shares the perspective of the men who wait for the inevitable assaults, their most trivial exchanges seeming, in this context, momentous.”
The NY Times’ A.O. Scott says Restrepo “ …belongs with The Hurt Locker and Gunner Palace on the short shelf of essential 21st-century combat movies."
About the MovieClub: Members who contribute $75 or more to 90.3 KAZU can join the MovieClub. MovieClub members and a guest are invited to monthly screenings at the Osio Cinemas in downtown Monterey.
