John Cannon joined KAZU in 2010. Cannon is freelance journalists who has written for Science, New Scientist, Bicycle Times, and Scientists without Borders. John has a degree in biology from Ohio State University, and completed the graduate science communication program at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2008. He also served as an agroforestry extension agent in the Peace Corps from 2004-2006 in Niger. At KAZU, John works as a Fill-in Host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered. He also occasionally produces news stories.
