Santa Cruz Shakespeare presents Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. Among Shakespeare's most popular plays, Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s version is directed by Laura Gordon. Opening July 24th, and running through August 1st, all performances take place outdoors in the picturesque Grove at De Laveaga Park in Santa Cruz.
