ENTRIES
Drawings and prizes open only to legal United States residents with a valid non-PO Box mailing address, 18 years of age or older at time of the prize delivery. An eligible person will be automatically entered upon making a donation to KAZU Public Radio during the 2023 Fall Membership Drive from 5:00 AM PT September 20th through September 27, 2023 6:00 PM PST. Donations can be made online at https://www.kazu.org/donate; by calling KAZU Radio’s membership line at 831-582-5298. No donation is necessary to enter or win.
To enter without making a donation, complete the online entry form available at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfNBsItDBfaswB05Vy-6c94CoF5fpKVOLGg6_WUpihgJ70yFw/viewform?usp=sf_link. Complete contact information must be provided to be considered eligible, and includes name, valid US telephone number, US Postal address, and email address.
All active, qualified “Sustaining” Members of KAZU are automatically entered if they provided a phone number or email address with their membership. (A sustaining member is one who contributes a specified monthly amount automatically via credit card or through their bank account to KAZU.)
You may enter only once during the Entry Period for the prize drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and are equal regardless of method of entry. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per email address, and per household, for the duration of the Entry Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person, email address, or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of KAZU and will not be acknowledged or returned. When a dispute arises about whom may have submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the email account. Any entry received after the Entry Period will not be eligible to be included in any drawing and shall be disregarded. The deadline for the Entry Period is final.

Prizes: For our spring membership drive, we want to give the gift of a local experiences. We want you to share these experiences with someone you love. It's a central component of Connecting Communities theme this membership drive. We have prizes from amazing experience makers, including:

ELIGIBILITY
Each drawing is open to any individual who is, (a) as of the beginning of the Entry Period a legal resident of the state of California, U.S.A. (the “Eligibility Area”); and (b) 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees, officers, directors and agents (or any persons who have been employees, officers, directors or agents in the past twelve months) of 90.3 KAZU (“Sponsor”), California State University Monterey Bay, and the University Corporation at Monterey Bay and their immediate families (regardless of where they live), or members of the same households (whether related or not), and its affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion and advertising agencies; and any other company involved in the design, execution or production of the prize drawing, are not eligible to win any of these prizes. VOID outside of the Eligibility Area and where prohibited or restricted by law or regulations. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
PRIZE AWARD DETAILS
Gift certificates to the following local businesses:

Tickets will be provided to the following local concerts/festivals:
- Rebels & Renegades Music Festival (10 3-day grounds passes valued at $359 each)
- Monterey Bay Football Club (2 field level seats valued at $225)
- Santa Cruz Symphony (2 tickets to 5 concerts, valued at $100 each)
- Monterey Bay Whale Watching – Sunset Cruise with Staff Grand Prize (1 pass for 2 people, valued at $526 total)
One gift certificate will be awarded to each winner. The winner must be 18 years or older at time of delivery. Prize is non-transferable, cannot be substituted, may not be sold, combined with any other offer or redeemed for cash. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible participants. 90.3 KAZU Radio will make a good faith effort to award these prizes. 90.3 KAZU Radio reserves the right to select a new winner or not award the prize if the winner is not willing or able to accept it within five (5) day of being notified.
Additionally four (20) winners will be awarded two (2) tickets to our Sunset Cruise on October 21, 2023 at 3:30 PM PT. Each pair of tickets is valued at $526. The winner must be 18 years or older at time of delivery. Prize is non-transferable, cannot be substituted, may not be sold, combined with any other offer or redeemed for cash. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible participants. 90.3 KAZU Radio will make a good faith effort to award these prizes. 90.3 KAZU Radio reserves the right to select a new winner or not award the prize if a winner is not willing or able to accept it within five (5) day of being notified.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
All winners will be selected randomly from all eligible entries received through the Prize Drawings’ Deadline as outlined above. The winner(s) will be notified by telephone and/or email.
If a valid US telephone number or email address is not provided, 90.3 KAZU reserves the right to select another winner at its sole discretion. Failure of a potential Prize Winner to respond within five (5) business days from notification may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate as the Prize Winner.
The Winner of the Drawing will be given instructions on how to claim the prize. Winner may be required to sign and return a completed W9 and an affidavit of eligibility and liability release (and, where permitted, a publicity release) within fourteen (14) days of notification or prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Limit of one (1) prize per individual/household per drive from Sponsor.
GENERAL
Promotion void where prohibited by law. Prize is non-transferable, cannot be substituted, may not be sold, combined with any other offer, or redeemed for cash. In the event of unavailability of stated prize, 90.3 KAZU reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All entries become the property of KAZU 90.3 and will not be returned. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and all matters relating to the prize.
Release of Liability: By participating, you release Sponsor, CSU Monterey Bay and the University Corporation at Monterey Bay and their subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, employees, directors, agents, advertising agencies, and all other associated with the development and execution of this Prize Drawing, from any and against any and all injury, loss or damage caused or claimed to be caused by your participation in the Prize Drawing and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of the prize, and you agree that these entities are not responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the promotion and/or the awarding of any prize except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules. By entering the Prize Drawing you further agree that: (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Prize Drawing, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Prize Drawing, but in no event attorney’s fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
Additional Rules: Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void. No responsibility is assumed for : (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, postage due or illegible entries; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Prize Drawing. By participating in the Prize Drawing, you agree to be bound by these official rules, including all eligibility requirements, and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Prize Drawing. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the Prize Drawing. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Prize Drawing it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules; and (ii) suspend, modify or terminate the Prize Drawing if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Prize Drawing. If Prize Drawing is terminated before the end date, Sponsor will determine the winner that has already occurred from the eligible entries received for the applicable day(s) as of the termination date. These Rules and this Prize Drawing are governed by and controlled by the laws of the State of California, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to the applicable choice of law provisions. All actions, proceedings or litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely within the State of California, Monterey County. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of the state courts of California and the federal courts associated with such state and county with respect to any action, dispute or other matter pertaining to or arising out of this Prize Drawing. Entry constitutes consent to post the winner's name on the KAZU website and to use the prize winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness without compensation for promotion or advertising purposes.
Privacy: Any information you submit in connection with this Drawing will be treated in accordance with these Official Rules and the terms of 90.3 KAZU’s Privacy Policy, currently located at http://kazu.org/privacy-policy; provided, that in the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and such Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail.
Severability: If any provision(s) of these rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
