50K for 50 Years

50K for 50 Years

Celebrate Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District (MPRPD)'s 50th Anniversary by hiking/walking/moving 50 kilometers for 50 years (#50Kfor50Years) this November 2022.

Earn limited-edition, commemorative stickers by tracking your trail locations on social media for your chance to collect all five: Frog Pond Wetland Preserve, Garland Ranch Regional Park, Marina Dunes Preserve, Monterey Bay Coastal Trail, and Palo Corona Regional Park.

In addition, the first 200 participants who track their miles and complete 50 kilometers within the month of November will receive a special MPRPD 50th Anniversary T-shirt. Hike and move naturally at any MPRPD park and non-MPRPD managed locations and parks.

To continue celebrating MPRPD's 50th Anniversary, join us on Saturday, December 3 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Palo Corona Regional Park for a free, in-person, outdoor celebration for all. For those who tracked their location and miles during MPRPD’s 50K for 50 Years campaign, limited-edition stickers and t-shirts will be available for pick up at the event on December 3.
