Event Description

The Listening Place Readers Theater is proud to present YULETIDE JEWELS 2019. This heartwarming collection of read-aloud holiday stories includes:  “A Child’s Christmas In Wales” by Dylan Thomas, Truman Capote’s “The Christmas Memory,” “The Big Wheel Truck Stop” by anonymous and more. The production is directed by Robin McKee and produced by Linda Hancock and Susan Keenan. Featured actors include: Anne Mitchell and Philip Pearce. Two performances only on Sundays, December 1st and 8th at 1:30pm, Monterey Museum of Art, 559 Pacific Street, Monterey CA. Performances are free to Monterey Museum of Art members, and free to non-members with a $10 Museum Admission at door. Since 2007, The Listening Place Readers Theatre has created read-aloud dramatic performances of plays and short stories. Performed by experienced actors, the productions come to life with character voices, gestures, light costuming and props. From comedy to drama The Listening Place Readers Theatre is a totally entertaining theatrical experience. Linda Hancock co-founded The Listening Place Readers’ Theater with Marlie Avant and Ibi Murphy, performing the Pulitzer Prize winning play “Proof” by David Auburn at Monterey Museum of Art, La Mirada in Monterey in 2007.
