This Sunday, February 16th, the Sound of Classic Beebop Jazz illuminates 498 Washington Street in Downtown Monterey as The East Village Coffee Lounge presents The Mark Sherman Quartet. This outstanding ensemble will perform original jazz compositions along with Beebop, ballads and other jazz classics.
The performance takes places from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30p.m. with a Cover Charge of $10.
Mark Sherman is the internationally-renowned Jazz Vibraphonist, Composer, and Producer who has performed around the world as a leader and side man for more than 30 years. He was highly recognized and acknowledged by DownBeat in its Critics and Readers’ Polls in both 2007 & 2018 for his exceptional musical talent and accomplishments. Mark has been a faculty member at the Juilliard School of Music since 2008.
Along with Mark Sherman will be Paul Tarantino on saxophone, Dan Robbins on bass and Steve Robertson on drums.
East Village Coffee Lounge serves as community hangout with frequent poetry slams, jam sessions & beer on the menu.
