Event Description

Give Blood, Save Lives! The American Red Cross Blood Drive

Every Two Seconds Someone in the United States needs Blood

Imagine if you or one of family members needed blood in an emergency and it just wasn’t available?

The American Red Cross 2020 Blood Drive continues with the final two dates of its drive through December, 2020 at The El Estero Park Center located at 777 Pearl Street in Monterey. Taking an hour out of your busy schedule to donate at our upcoming blood drive can protect our community’s blood supply and help save the life of someone in our community.

To schedule your appointment please visit: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=Monterey or call 1 [800] RED CROSS (1 [800] 733-2767).

TYPES OF DONATIONS:

POWER RED: A Power Red Donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements and have Type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood.

BLOOD: This is the most common type of donation during which approximately a pint of “Whole Blood” is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour.

Thank You for giving the “Essential Gift of Life” to someone in need in your Community!
