Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History’s Virtual Museum to You Program

With the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History temporarily closed, this outstanding educational organization continues to focus on learning and intellectual engagement through its popular Social-Distance Learning Program, “Museum to You”.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7TH:
BUG OUT WITH BREE -- MOSQUITO VS. MOSQUITO HAWK from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
… Let’s learn about the difference between a mosquito and a mosquito hawk. These insects may seem like they are the similar but we will discuss the differences between these long-legged insects. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12TH:
CREATE WITH US -- SKETCHING SCRUB JAYS from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
… Want to learn more about a local museum garden visitor? Tune in as James Adams, an exceptional Science Illustrator and Educator from Bend, Oregon, will teach you how to draw a California Scrub Jay in a step-by-step kid-friendly drawing tutorial. A recent graduate of the Science Illustration Program at CSU Monterey Bay and a longtime educator, James seeks to connect people with the natural world through adventure, science, and art. VIRTUAL NATURE JOURNALING WORKSHOP WITH JOHN MUIR LAWS from 5:15pm to 6:45pm
… What was that in the water? Learn techniques to get your breaching aquatic wildlife observations on paper, with none other than John Muir Laws! Tickets on sale now! SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH:
JUNIOR NATURALIST EXCURSION -- FARM DISCOVERY TOUR from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Watsonville
Join us as we explore Live Earth Farm and get an up close look at our local agriculture and possibly meet some farm animals! Farm Discovery will teach us about farming practices, plant identification, environmental stewardship, and much more! Junior Naturalist Club Membership is required.
