The 2021 Weston Scholarship Competition …

The Weston Scholarship is a portfolio competition for students studying fine art photography in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. The scholarship was established in 2004 by Kim and Gina Weston who hoped to preserve the legacy of black and white film photography set forth by Edward Weston and Ansel Adams.

Every year, students are encouraged to submit a portfolio for the opportunity to win a scholarship to support their photographic careers.

2021 IS OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School or College Student in Monterey or Santa Cruz County.
• Images must be black and white.
• Each submission must consist of a portfolio of 10 images.
• A submission of a virtual application along with emailing inspire@thewestoncollective.org your 10 Images and Artist’s Statement.

IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
• File Type - Jpeg, Longest Side - 2048px, Black & White.

IMAGE LABELING:
• Label with your first and last name and corresponding number (i.e firstnam-lastname-1.jpg, firstname-lastname-2.jpg).
