graphic by Serena Toney

Election Day polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6th.

If you still have your vote-by-mail ballot, you have until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday to return it. Voters can return it to any polling place or elections office. They can also place it in a drop box. Click here for a list of drop-off locations. If you’re going to mail your ballot, it must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 6th.

For those who missed the October 22nd deadline to register to vote, it’s not too late. People can register and vote through California’s new Conditional Voter Registration process up until 8:00 p.m. on Election Night. Conditional Voter Registration is only available at each county’s elections offices. Votes are counted after an elections official verifies the registration.
