Big Sur – Governor Schwarzenegger has turned to firefighters in Oregon, Arizona and Washington for help battling about 700 wildfires burning throughout California. And with Fourth of July just around the corner, he's also asking Californians to do their part. "If I would be you and I know that the people that are selling all this stuff are going to go crazy on me when I say this, but don't buy any of their fireworks, don't go out and do fireworks this year," said Governor Schwarzenegger.
The Governor's request comes three days before fireworks stands are allowed to open in California. Saturday marks the beginning of the nine day period for fireworks sales statewide.
