KAZU News Honored with Edward R. Murrow Awards

KAZU News has been honored with two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.  News Director Krista Almanzan's story Labor Shortage Hastens Push for Immigration Reform won in the Hard News Reporting category.   She also won an award for Use of Sound with her story Salinas Playground Designed to Bring Kids of All Abilities Together.  Both stories now move on to the national competition.

KAZU News is proud to have been honored with regional Edward R. Murrow Awards every year since 2010. KAZU competes in the Small Market Radio Category against similar sized stations in California, Hawaii, Nevada and Guam.  See a complete list of 2014 winners here.
