Monterey County general plan battle heads for ballot box
Salinas, CA – The always-contentious battle over development in Monterey County could be headed for a fiery showdown at the ballot box. As the Board of Supervisors works on the county's 20-year-old general plan, slow-growth advocates have begun collecting signatures for their own plan. That's caught pro-growth supporters by surprise -- but, they say, they won't attempt to qualify an initiative of their own. KAZU's Ben Adler reports.
