Pacific Grove City Councilwoman Running for Congress

Pacific Grove City Councilwoman Casey Lucius will run for the Congressional seat currently held by Congressman Sam Farr.  The 20th District House of Representatives seat represents the Central Coast.

The 38-year-old Navy veteran announced her candidacy today with a video on You Tube.  She recently resigned her job as a professor at the Naval War College to make this run for Congress.

In a press release Lucius said, “it’s time to step up with new ideas and a new generation of solutions. The traditional clash of ideologies has resulted in stalemate and non-representative government. The nation and the Central Coast should be represented by a person who can energetically lead and moderate, not follow partisan dictates.”

Lucius is a Republican.  The primary is June 7, 2016.
