Saturday the Women’s March hits the streets of Washington with the message women’s rights are human rights.   Organizers say they want to stand in solidarity with groups marginalized  by campaign rhetoric including immigrants, Muslims and the LGBT community.  Locally marches will take place in Santa Cruz and on the campus of CSUMB (KAZU’s parent intuition).

The CSU Monterey Bay President's Speaker Series provides a forum for thoughtful and provocative discussions that can impact thought and action on issues important to our community and our nation.

Jeff Edmondson is Managing Director of Strive Together,  a national initiative that brings together leaders from pre-kindergarten through higher education, business, community organizations, government, parents and others who are committed to helping children succeed from cradle to career.  A Cradle to Career Partnership has recently been established in Monterey County.

On April 9th he spoke at CSUMB's World Theater on the "Collective Impact: A New Way of Doing Business to Improve Educational Outcomes.
