Seaside, CA – Fourteen golden shovels tossed aside some loose rubble Thursday afternoon as California State University Monterey Bay broke ground on its new library. The three-floor, 64 million dollar building will be named for the Tanimura and Antle families, who are providing major funding. It was designed by the same architects that designed the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the library at nearby Monterey Peninsula College.

KAZU's Ben Adler speaks with CSUMB President Dianne Harrison about the library's importance to the university.
