Oakland, CA – It's been 6 months since last fall's E. coli outbreak in spinach sickened 200 people, killed three and crippled a major Monterey County industry. But as growers in the Salad Bowl of America start planting this year's spinach and lettuce crops, they face no mandatory good agricultural practices.
