Monterey, CA – A tiny moth is stirring up big controversy in Monterey County. The light brown apple moth could have a devastating affect on California's multi-billion dollar agriculture industry. It eats at least 250 different plants, including vegetables, nursery plants and Monterey Pines. Monterey has become ground zero for the battle to keep the invasive pest from taking hold in the state. But plans to fight the moth have many local residents alarmed. Even after there's been vocal public outcry the state plans to go ahead with aerial spraying of chemical pheromones.
