Alliance of Aging Transion Show

Alliance of Aging Transion Show
The word “trashion” is all the buzz in Monterey County each year in advance of the Alliance on Aging’s annual Trashion Show.
Trashion can include fashion created from everyday trash, used, found or repurposed items such as candy wrappers, trash bags, coffee filters, newspapers, tires and more.
First held in 2014, the fundraiser combines art, fashion and ecology around a new theme. The always unique and outrageous show takes place this year at 6 p.m., on Saturday, July 1 at the Monterey Convention Center, 1 Portola Plaza.
Regular seats are available for $200, with runway seats priced at $225. Tables of 8 are available, and sponsorships are available.
To purchase tickets, call 831-655-7564 or 831-655-4931.
The Alliance on Aging was established in 1970 by a group of concerned local citizens who wanted to help seniors remain safely in their own homes for as long as possible. Today this volunteer-driven organization is a multi-purpose senior service agency with more than 200 volunteers. The largest non-profit provider of senior services in Monterey County, the Alliance on Aging serves more than 7,000 individuals every year.
