Part One, “Charitable Giving,” will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Participants will learn about charitable giving strategies, tax considerations and a variety of giving tools that can help align philanthropic goals with personal financial plans. Topics include gifts of cash, appreciated securities, donor-advised funds and charitable gifts that can provide income for life.

Part Two, “Creating an Estate Plan,” will take place Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026. The session will cover the fundamentals of estate planning, including wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, powers of attorney and transfer-on-death options that help individuals protect their families and honor their wishes.

Both events will be held at The HUB, 236 Monterey St. in Salinas. Attendees are invited to arrive at 12:30 p.m. for a complimentary light lunch featuring a half sandwich, salad and beverage. Presentations begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by an open question-and-answer session.

The events are free and open to the public. Seating is available for up to 50 in-person attendees, with unlimited participation available via Zoom. In-person guests will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Patria and must be present to win.
