CARMEL, CA. (Aug. 5, 2022) — Ami Carmel, a lifestyle boutique in the heart of Carmel, will introduce a new monthly charity fundraiser at its shop, Sip, Savor, Shop & Support a Cause, starting in September 2022 and going through 2023.

Sip, Savor, Shop & Support a Cause Series will be held on the first Monday of each month with extended evening hours until 8 p.m. and 20% of the day’s gross sales going to a sponsored nonprofit such as Peace of Mind Dog Rescue (POMDR), Carmel Bach Festival, Carmel Cares, and more.

The new fundraiser is keeping in line with owner Annee Martin’s vision to expand the store’s outreach to local nonprofits, charities and community groups.

“My vision for Ami Carmel is to have it relate to the community and what we’re doing,” says Martin. “We’re right by the Carmel Post Office, so I want to be an anchor for the neighborhood and the community. The main thing I want to do is to support nonprofits and volunteers that do good for our community. I believe that if you do good, good comes back to you. That’s what I want to put out to the community and the world.”

In addition to Sip, Savor, Shop & Support a Cause, Ami Carmel also hosts a Wine Down Wednesday event on the second Wednesday of each month with a local winemaker; offers discounts to various local groups, such as Carmel residents and Chamber of Commerce members; celebrations of annual holidays and themed days, such as National Dog Day on Aug. 26, with promotions, giveaways, and contests; a Give Back Day on National Philanthropy Day, Monday, Nov. 14, in which Ami will be celebrating Its second year of business where a selected charity partner will receive 20% of all sales for the day; and a special event for VIP customers on Dec. 4.
