Celebrate Women's History Month on March 14th at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove
Join us to celebrate Women’s History Month at Asilomar, a space originally created to empower Women and build Community!
- Discover forgotten Women Leaders in Science and Geography
- Learn Vintage Dances
- Tour Julia Morgan-designed Buildings
This year’s festivities include a keynote address by Dr. Kathryn Davis: “Fearless Curiosity: Reclaiming the Legacy of California's Women Scientists and Explorers”. This talk highlights remarkable Northern California women in the 19th and mid-20th centuries who made groundbreaking contributions to science and geographic exploration.
Celebrate how the Brave Women of the 1920’s broke boundaries by learning vintage YWCA-era dances in free workshops (1920s period attire encouraged!).
Take a guided tour of Asilomar’s Historic Core buildings designed by California’s first Female Architect, Julia Morgan.
