CARMEL, Calif. — Set along the dramatic cliffs of the Big Sur coastline, Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn (120 Highlands Drive, Carmel, CA 93923) will host a refined Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at its signature restaurant, Pacific’s Edge.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean just minutes from downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, the iconic resort is celebrated for its panoramic coastal views, residential-style accommodations and elevated dining experiences that highlight the flavors of California’s Central Coast. The Mother’s Day celebration offers an opportunity to honor and gather with loved ones in a setting defined by natural beauty and culinary excellence.
Served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the thoughtfully curated buffet will feature a blend of chef-attended stations, seasonal brunch favorites and coastal-inspired cuisine.
Guests may enjoy a build-your-own omelette bar alongside carving and specialty stations featuring carved New York striploin with balsamic red wine reduction and salmon en croute with pink brandy sauce.
The expansive seafood and salad display will include king crab legs with clarified butter, poached prawns and smoked salmon with traditional accompaniments, and seared ahi tuna with soy sauce and wasabi cream. Additional offerings include a grilled vegetable board, Caprese salad, classic Caesar salad and a customizable salad bar.
Brunch entrées highlight comforting and elevated favorites such as mushroom and red pepper frittata, chicken and waffles with maple syrup and hot honey, spinach artichoke ravioli with parmesan cream sauce and seafood paella. Accompaniments include bacon, chicken apple sausage, roasted potatoes with sautéed vegetable hash and an avocado toast bar.
A selection of artisan breads, pastries, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit and an assorted cheese and charcuterie display will complement the experience, while a dessert presentation of petit fours, macarons and mini pastries offers a sweet finish.
Mother’s Day brunch is priced at $130 per adult and $50 per child ages 4–12, with children under 4 dining complimentary. Prices do not include tax and a 20 percent service charge.
