The UC Master Gardeners will host a pop-up booth to give information and answer questions about the benefits of planting in the fall and growing Mediterranean climate plants.

We know how hard it is to resist a beautiful blossom in the springtime, but fall really is the best time for planting. By planting in the fall, your plants will benefit from winter rains, shorter days, and cooler temperatures. This means they’ll be well established come springtime and you’ll be able to enjoy the blossoms in your own garden.

Norrie’s features plants from the Mediterranean regions of South Africa, Australia, Chile and California. At this pop-up we will be selling a rare native iris for the first time. We will also have special offerings of dudleya varieties grown here at the Arboretum from wild, collected seed.
