The film Paper Lanterns is based on the inspiring story of Shigeaki Mori, a Japanese atomic bomb survivor from Hiroshima, who dedicated his life to sharing the stories of twelve American prisoners of war (POWs) who were killed by the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945, in Hiroshima. Right after the film screening, there will be panel discussion with producer Mrs. Nobuko Saito Cleary and CNS Director Dr. William Potter moderated by Jean du Preez CNS. This event aims to promote the importance of disarmament, nonproliferation, and peace building among the audience, especially among young people.
