DarkSky Santa Cruz invites the Community for a Presentation & Discussion on Light Pollution.

Highlights include the screening of the five-minute international award-winning Film “A Dark Future” that addresses the impact of light pollution on humans and wildlife. Saratoga High School Senior and Producer, Riley Adler will introduce the film.

The event also includes a stunning visual presentation on the impacts of light from Astronomy Educator, Andy Kreyche. Mr. Kreyche will include a demonstration of different light fixtures and their impact on light pollution.

The evening’s presentation will be capped with a progress report from DarkSky Santa Cruz towards the adoption of a Lighting Ordinance in the City of Santa Cruz.

Refreshments and conversation will follow the presentations.
