Join us as we honor International Day of Peace, also officially known as World Peace Day. This United Nations sanctioned holiday has been observed annually on September 21st since 1981.

The documentary film, Peace One Day (2004), by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, chronicles his multi-year quest to establish September 21st of each year as a day dedicated to honoring and strengthening the ideals of peace. On this day, the UN calls for a 24‑hour global cease‑fire and urges individuals, communities, and governments to recognize peace as a fundamental human right.
