SkeptiCamp weekend begins with a casual get-together on Friday, Jan. 9, 6-9 p.m. at London Bridge Pub at Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. This informal meet-and-greet is a chance to get to know other skeptics and learn what skepticism is all about.
The main event on Saturday, Jan. 10, features short presentations at El Gabilan Library’s community room from 9:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Coffee and tea will be available along with fruit and pastries at no charge. In addition, pizza and bottled water will be available for a donation during the lunch break. Attendees may bring a bag lunch if they prefer. The day's presentations will be followed by a no-host dinner at Michael's Grill & Taqueria, 321 Main St., Oldtown Salinas.
On Sunday, Jan. 11, more talks are being organized for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at El Gabilan Library, followed by a short field trip to the Medical History Museum at Salinas Valley Health. More details are available at abouttimeproject.org/skepticampinfo.
