Black Comedy By Peter Shaffer
Directed by Laura Coté in the Studio Theatre
Struggling sculptor Brindsley Miller has caught the attention of millionaire art collector, Georg Bamberger. Thinking this could be his big break, Brindsley and his very recent fiancée, Carol, are having a party with the aim of hoping to impress him as well as her pompous and bombastic father, Colonel Melkett.
Moments before the guests arrive, the main fuse blows, plunging the apartment into total darkness. What follows is a frantic romp of extra unexpected guests, mistaken identities, and surprises lurking in every dark corner. Only the audience can see the chaotic action that ensues in the dark.
Written by award winning playwright Peter Schaffer, this fantastic farce has been delighting audiences for over 60 years with its fast paced action, quirky characters, and magnificent mayhem.
