Join Pacific Grove-based pet adoption nonprofit Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023 with the 'Bow Wow Jamboree' Fundraiser on September 30th in Toro Park in Salinas.

The Jamboree will be held from from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 30th at the Toro Park Quail Meadows Area. The $75 per adult ticket includes lunch and one drink ticket good for beer or wine. Attendees can purchase additional beverages for $10 per glass and $25 per child under 12, including lunch and nonalcoholic drinks. Tickets are now on sale at https://barkforacause.eventbrite.com, and sponsorships for the event are now available at https://animalfriendsrescue.org. This event will raise funds to find suitable permanent homes for abandoned, stray, and abused companion animals and end the pet overpopulation crisis through focused spay/neuter programs, AFRP’s primary mission.

The afternoon will feature:

• Award-winning Barbecue with brisket sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches,cole slaw; barbecue beans (vegan & gluten-free options available)

• and of course, some adorable Rescue Dogs! Four-legged Family Members are welcome on a leash.
