Pacific’s Edge at Highlands Inn to host exclusive Rombauer Wine Dinner on Thursday, July 13
CARMEL, Calif., — Founded in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer, family-owned Rombauer Vineyards has spent more than four decades producing acclaimed wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, the Sierra Foothills, and the Santa Lucia Highlands.
On Thursday, July 13, Pacific's Edge at Hyatt Highlands Inn will hold a special Rombauer Wine Dinner with seating limited to 30. The site of legendary culinary events such as the Masters of Food & Wine, Pacific’s Edge has earned a well-established reputation as a destination restaurant.
The four-course menu includes the following:
Hamachi with apple gel, lemongrass, and celery root slaw (2022 Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley)
Chestnut puree with Castroville artichoke and truffle (2021 Rombauer Chardonnay, Carneros)
Miso and maple-glazed Hudson Valley duck breast with forbidden black rice, grilled stone fruit, Baker’s Bacon lardon, and black garlic (2021 Rombauer Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands)
Pumpernickel sticky toffee pudding with crème anglaise and fennel pollen (2020 Rombauer El Dorado Twin Rivers Zinfandel)
Reservations are required for the 6 p.m. dinner, with a cost of $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Those interested should reserve their place at the table through Eventbrite.
Known for its high-quality wines, notably Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and family-style hospitality, Rombauer will have a representative on hand at the dinner.
