Pacific's Edge at Hyatt Carmel Highlands to host Thanksgiving buffet
Pacific's Edge at Hyatt Carmel Highlands to host Thanksgiving buffet with lobster, oysters and prime rib above the Big Sur coast on Thursday, Nov. 26
Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn invites guests to spend a stress-free Thanksgiving with front-row seats to the Big Sur coast and a lavish holiday buffet at Pacific's Edge Restaurant, perched on the rocky bluffs above the Pacific Ocean.
The buffet will be served Thursday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This year, the culinary team has paired traditional holiday favorites with a full seafood display, so the table has room for both the classic turkey dinner and a coastal feast.
"Thanksgiving is the one day people really slow down, and there's no better place to do it than at a table looking out over the ocean," said Jeff Baker, director of food and beverage at Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn. "We built this year's buffet so everyone at the table finds their favorite, from Diestel turkey and prime rib to fresh oysters and lobster tails."
Highlights from the buffet include:
Holiday favorites: Diestel turkey, slow-roasted hickory brown sugar prime rib, brown sugar glazed ham, Ora King salmon and locally made spinach and artichoke ravioli, with traditional seasonal accompaniments.
Seafood display: Freshly shucked oysters, lobster tails, poached prawns, crab claws, smoked salmon and ponzu-glazed ahi tuna.
Salads and charcuterie: Artisan salads and local charcuterie.
Desserts: Pies, tarts, cookies, macarons and freshly baked pastries.
Pricing is $145 for adults and $50 for children ages 5-12, plus tax and a 20% gratuity. Children 4 and under dine free.
Reservations are open now on OpenTable.
