Monterey, Calif.— Attend an afternoon of live poetry readings and light refreshments in celebration of National Poetry Month at California’s First Theater (the corner of Pacific Street and Scott Street).
Monterey State Historic Park presents “Poetry in the Park” on Saturday, April 4th from 1:00-3:00pm. Doors open at 12:45pm and seating is limited- arrive early to secure a spot!
This free event will feature Monterey County Poet Laureate Marie Boucher and Monterey County Youth Poet Laureate Mya Pop, along with twenty-one other local poets. Celebrate the long legacy of arts in the Park and the future of Monterey County’s poets in this historic venue!
