Three Cleanups hosted by Save Our Shores in Santa Cruz during the Month of November
Save Our Shores will host a River Area, Creek Area & Beach Cleanup in Santa Cruz this month in Santa Cruz.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH AT 9:00AM -- A CLEANUP ALONG THE SOQUEL CREEK!
Please meet us on Paper Mill Road at the bridge to Bridge Street.
Help us clean up the Soquel Creek area at Bridge St! The trash that ends up on the beach also comes from our rivers and creeks, so removing waste upstream is key to preventing marine debris. This area is a hidden gem connecting two sides of Soquel from Paper Mill Rd to Bridge St. The convenience store in the area means that people frequently litter food wrappers.
Bathrooms available at the Quickstop with purchase or nearby Porter Memorial Library after 10am.
Due to public health and safety concerns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are limiting participation in our cleanup events therefore, registration is required. All volunteers will be required to follow the Covid-19 safety instructions, detailed below.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH AT 10:00AM -- A CLEANUP ALONG THE SAN LORENZO RIVER!
Please meet us on the riverwalk, on the corner of Beach St. and 3rd St, located near the train trestle by the Boardwalk.
There will be limited roadside parking available, so please plan accordingly.
Due to public health and safety concerns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are limiting participation in our cleanup events. Registration is required. All volunteers will be required to follow the Covid-19 safety instructions, detailed below.
Volunteers under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH AT 9:00AM -- A BEACH CLEANUP AT NEW BRIGHTON STATE BEACH!
Please meet us at the top of the stairs that lead to the beach.
Restrooms and drinking fountains are available onsite.
