Vanya Quiñones will become the fourth president of CSU Monterey Bay, succeeding Eduardo Ochoa, who is retiring.
Dr. Quiñones holds a Ph.D. in neurobiology and physiology from Rutgers University and spent more than 20 years as a psychology professor at City of New York (CUNY) - Hunter College. She was appointed to her present position as provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Pace University in 2018.
She will assume the CSUMB presidency on Aug. 15, 2022.
