Food pantries like this one organized by the Center for Farmworker Families in May of 2025 are projected to experience spikes in demand as delays in food assistance programs continue with the government shutdown.

In today's newscast, the 11th annual International Spinach Conference makes its return to the United States on the Cal State Monterey Bay campus. And, Governor Gavin Newsom warns funding for food assistance programs could soon run out due to the federal government shutdown.
