Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust bolsters food assistance and fishing industry with Community Seafood Program

Walter Deyerle holds a package of seafood that was fished, filleted, and flash-frozen at the Sea Harvest processing headquarters in Moss Landing. The fish was frozen for less than 3 days before being delivered to a local food aid organization.

In today's newscast, the Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust created their Community Seafood Program to support commercial fishing during the COVID-19 pandemic and continue delivering fresh seafood during the government shutdown.
