Peninsula Open Space Trust
The Peninsula Open Space Trust now owns over 6,000 acres of the 6,500-acre property known as Juristac, or Sargent Ranch. The land is culturally-significant to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.

In today's newscast, the Peninsula Open Space Trust recently purchased about 2,300 acres near Gilroy, halting a controversial mining proposal. The land trust plans to work with partners like the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band to create a vision for the area.
