The federal judge said Thursday that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was a flight risk. Prosecutors say he violated the terms of his probation. Nakoula was identified as the "key figure" behind Innocence of Muslims, the film that sparked riots across the Muslim world.
Cheese-Smuggling Ring Is Brought Down In Canada
A "large scale Canada-U.S. cheese smuggling operation" has been brought down, after an international investigation tracked criminals who were skirting import duties and Canada's higher cheese prices. The smugglers reportedly transported more than $200,000 worth of cheese.

Bank Of America To Pay $2.43 Billion In Settlement
The bank said Friday it will pay $2.43 billion to settle a lawsuit related to its purchase of Merrill Lynch in 2008 at the height of the financial crisis. Investors who owned Bank of America stock at the time brought the class-action suit, claiming bank officials made false statements about the health of both companies at the time of the merger. Bank of America denied the allegations.
