European leaders have vowed to keep the eurozone intact, but U.S. companies are making contingency plans in case Greece is forced to leave the currency union. Bank of America Merrill Lynch, for instance, has looked into moving cash into Greece so clients can continue to pay local employees.
Stephen Brede, 61, Paddles Around Lake Erie
Stephen Brede climbed into a canoe on the Michigan shore of Lake Erie in June. Two months later, he returned to the same spot, from the opposite direction. The Petoskey News-Review reports he has paddled around three of the Great Lakes, and at age 61, he has two lakes to go.
