The City of Santa Cruz’ “Street Smarts” program is designed to reduce the number of traffic-related crashes and injuries in the City of Santa Cruz – and beyond. Focusing on drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians, Street Smarts aims to improve the behavior of all three groups and raise awareness of top traffic-related issues. Offering reminders to drivers and pedestrians to put their phone downs, cyclists to wear helmets , and other safety tips, Street Smarts is a collaboration of the City of Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Police and numerous partner organizations and agencies.
