Salinas, CA – Natividad Medical Center in Salinas has been in trouble for years. The hospital's board of trustees meets today (3/2/07) and may approve a new business plan full of strategies to reduce a 20 million dollar annual shortfall. Meantime, daily operations go on but patients and staff are paying close attention.

CORRECTION: Huron Consulting is paid $50,000 per month for each of the three administrating officers. That comes out to nearly $7000.00 per day.
