A power outage is causing synchronization issues in our broadcast

Brant Herrett

A power outage Wednesday night caused a piece of equipment that delivers NPR programming to KAZU’s studios to reset to its factory settings. As a result, our NPR feed has switched to a backup internet connection, which introduces a short delay that may occasionally cause programming transitions to sound a little out of sync.

Our programming team is working to minimize the effects, and an engineer is scheduled to reconfigure the equipment on Monday, Aug. 17. We expect the issue to be resolved by the end of Monday, and will update this page should there be any additional issues or delay.

We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience while we restore normal service.
