AMERICANA

AMERICANA: a concert of American music and poetry featuring John Jensen, piano, Jody Lee, soprano, and Igor Poklad, clarinet will be presented at the Canterbury Woods Auditorium, 651 Sinex Ave, Wednesday, June 24, at 6:30 PM. Admission is Free.
The program will include music by American composers: Charles Ives, Ernst Bacon, Cole Porter, Phillip Rhodes, Thelonious Monk, and two works by Pacific Grove composer, Carleton Macy. Jody Lee will sing Macy’s “The Name of It is Love,” a song cycle set to poems by American poet, Emily Dickenson. Igor Poklad will premiere Macy’s Prelude and Fugue for clarinet and piano.
Please check in at the front desk before proceeding to the Auditorium.
