An Evening of Poetry with California Laureate Lee Herrick.

"I believe there is poetry in everyone and that it can nourish, inspire, and bring joy to our lives”, Lee Herrick.

PGPL is pleased to host Lee Herrick, 10th California Poet Laureate, and the first Asian American to serve in the role, on May 5, 2023 at 5:30pm.

Herrick is the author of three books of poems and co-editor of "The World I Leave You: Asian American Poets on Faith and Spirit" (Orison Books 2020).

He was born in Daejeon, Korea and adopted as an infant. He lives with his family in Fresno, California and served as Fresno Poet Laureate from 2015-2017. Herrick has taught poetry at Fresno City College for 26 years and teaches creative writing for the low-residency MFA program at UNR at Lake Tahoe.
