Beginning Birding at Laguna Grande Park
Beginning Birding at Laguna Grande Park
Curious about a bird you saw? Learn how to use binoculars (provided), resources to learn more about birds, and go on a bird watching trip around this special urban park, home to 263 different species of birds! No prior experience necessary. Spend time with the birds at one of the Monterey Peninsula’s most accessible birding gems. We’ll look for Ruddy Ducks and Pied-billed Grebes paddling on the lake, Double-crested Cormorants roosting in the trees, a resident Peregrine Falcon roosting on the Embassy Suites, as well as a variety of chickadees, warblers, and sparrows foraging in the surrounding trees.
