Big Sur Fundraiser (May 7th)
A fundraiser for victims in Big Sur is being held at the La Playa Hotel in Carmel on Tuesday night beginning at 5. Businesses and workers were hit hard after a section of Highway 1 slid into the ocean a month ago limiting access to the area. Local chefs and vintners are offering food and wine during the event at the historic hotel. All proceeds will go to the Big Sur Disaster Relief Fund and be distributed by Community Foundation for Monterey County working with the Community Association of Big Sur.
