Do you love sharing nature and the wonders of wetlands with others? The Elkhorn Slough Reserve is seeking volunteers to join our outreach and education team, leading trail tours, supporting public events, or engaging with visitors at our interpretive center. Our hybrid training course features online presentations paired with weekend field trips led by the Reserve’s scientists, stewards, and educators. You’ll learn about the wildlife, plants, history, and restoration of the Elkhorn Slough, and develop your ability to engage audiences in wildlife explorations. Training runs on Wednesday evenings (via Zoom) and Saturday mornings (at the Reserve) January 25th-February 25th.
