Held in the colorful Sand City Art Park, surrounded by stunning murals, the market creates a unique and inviting atmosphere. Committed to fostering a safe, fun, and inclusive community space, featuring a rotating lineup of local performers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who bring their talents to life each month.

On Saturday, June 21st join the Monterey Institute for Research in Astronomy (MIRA) to view the Beauty of the Cosmos at Garland Ranch Regonal Park in Carmel Valley.
Take in the Night Sky as Amateur Astronomers share their knowledge of the Cosmos. Observe details on the Moon and faint objects such as Galaxies and Star Clusters during this amazing Two-hour Program.
Telescopes of all shapes and sizes and Astronomers are on hand to show some of the natural phenomenon happening above.
Please note:• Portable Chair, warm Clothing, and hot Drinks are encouraged.• Bring a Red Light Flashlight.• Minors must be accompanied by an Adult.• Only Service Dogs will be permitted.

The Buddhist Temple of the Monterey Peninsula hosts the 76th Annual Obon Festival Event on Sunday, July 13th.
Festival Highlights includes the following:• Japanese Food• Entertainment• Ikebana and Bonsai Exhibits• Children’s Games• Japanese Goods and Crafts for sale.
Outstanding Food Choices include:• Tempura• Sushi• Beef Teriyaki• Udon• Gyoza
Day-long Entertainment also features Martial Arts Demonstrations and a Tea Ceremony. The event will also include an exeptional performance of Taiko Drumming. The colorful Bon Odori, or Community Japanese Folk Dancing, takes place later in the Afternoon.

With two floors and more than 100 antiques dealers inside the store, there's plenty to explore! Discounts and sales will be offered during the two-day event in the historic Steinbeck-era building. Spend a morning working at the UCSC Farm with fellow volunteers and Center for Agroecology staff. Tasks may include pruning, mulching, weeding, or hand tilling. Please come prepared with adequate shoes, water, and sun protection. We will provide all the necessary tools, but request that volunteers bring their own work gloves. Heavy rain will cancel.
