Espressivo, Santa Cruz’s “Small, Intense Orchestra,” will perform on Saturday, January 17th at the Peace United Church of Christ in Santa Cruz and on Sunday, January 18th at the First Presbyterian Church of Monterey.
Both concerts take place at 4:00pm.
Guest conductor and Salinas native Alan Truong will lead the ensemble in an exciting program of music by George Enescu, Jean Francaix, and Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari.

Bookshop Santa Cruz hosts UC Santa Cruz Professor Gregory O’Malley on February 2nd discussing His New Book “The Escapes of David George”
Bookshop Santa Cruz welcomes prize-winning Historian and UC Santa Cruz Professor Gregory O’Malley for a discussion about his new book “The Escapes of David George: An Odyssey of Slavery, Freedom, and the American Revolution.” The book details the dramatic story of a Black man’s relentless search for freedom in Revolutionary America.
This event takes place on Monday, February 2nd at 7:00pm and is cosponsored by The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz.
